Sztáray Péter államtitkár törökországi látogatása

Sztáray Péter államtitkár kiemelte az országaink között fennálló kapcsolatok dinamikus fejlődését, melyet jól jelez a magas szintű látogatások gyakorisága, illetve az Erdoğan elnök december 18-i látogatása margóján aláírt 17 megállapodás, köztük a kiemelt stratégiai partnerségről szóló közös nyilatkozat. Hangsúlyozta, hogy országaink között az energetikai és védelmi ipari együttműködés kiemelt fontosságú, megerősítette, hogy hazánk továbbra is elkötelezett az EU-török kapcsolatok fejlesztése terén.

Magyarország támogatja a török felet a vízumliberalizáció és a vámunió modernizációja kapcsán. Magyarország és Törökország közös álláspontot képvisel a tekintetben, hogy a problémákra – amelyekkel a világnak szembe kell néznie a háborúk miatt – az egyetlen megoldás a béke. Törökországot fontos közvetítőnek tartjuk, és nagyra értékeljük a béke elérése érdekében tett erőfeszítéseit. Magyarország kiemelt jelentőséget tulajdonít a kétoldalú kereskedelmi és gazdasági kapcsolatok további fejlesztésének, célunk a hatmilliárd dolláros kereskedelmi forgalom elérése. A 2025-ben megrendezésre kerülő magyar-török tudományos és innovációs évad tovább mélyítheti az országaink közötti tudományos, innovációs és védelmi ipari együttműködést.

Sztáray Péter államtitkár részt vett a Magyar-Török Kulturális Évad törökországi nyitórendezvényén, a Pannon Filharmonikusok koncertjén.

The visit of H.E. Mr. Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security in Türkiye

Between 22-23^rd January 2024, in Ankara, H.E. Mr. Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security discussed with H.E. Mr. Burak Akçapar Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and H.E. Mr. Mehmet Kemal Bozay Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs the status of the relations of the two countries and the further deepening of the bilateral cooperation.

Péter Sztáray highlighted the dynamic development of relations between our countries, which is clearly indicated by the frequency of high-level visits and the 17 agreements signed during the visit of H.E. Mr.  President Erdoğan on 18^th December, including the Joint Political Declaration on Enhanced Strategic Partnership. The Hungarian state secretary expressed that the cooperation between our countries in the field of energy and defence industry is of great importance, confirmed that our country remains committed to the development of EU-Turkish relations.

Hungary supports the Turkish efforts in visa liberalization and the modernization of the customs union. Hungary and Türkiye share a common point of view regarding the fact that the only solution to all of the problems the world is facing because of the wars, is peace. Hungary considers Türkiye an important mediator and we appreciate all the efforts to achieve peace. H. E. Mr. Sztáray underlined that regarding the economic relations Hungary believes in the great importance to the further development of bilateral trade and economic relations, will do everything in order to reach the targeted 6 billion dollar trade turnover between our countries. The state secretary welcomed the Hungarian-Turkish Scientific and Innovation Year that will take place during 2025, which can further deepen the cooperation in the field of science, innovation and defense industry.

As a part of the opening ceremony of the Hungarian-Turkish Cultural Year in Turkey the state secretary also participated in the concert of the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra.
