Magyarország és Indonézia jövőre ünnepli diplomáciai kapcsolatai felvételének 70. évfordulóját, amelyet megelőzően a Magyar-Indonéz GVB hetedik ülése kiváló alkalmat biztosított kétoldalú partnerségünk megerősítésére.
Bihari Katalin helyettes államtitkár hangsúlyozta, hogy a magyar kormány által 2014-ben meghirdetett Keleti Nyitás Stratégiával összhangban, Magyarország elkötelezett a kétoldalú kapcsolatok bővítése iránt Indonéziával, amely az ASEAN alapító tagjaként globális és regionális szinten is növekvő szerepet tölt be. Indonézia 2023-ban hazánk 5. külkereskedelmi partnerévé lépett elő az ASEAN térség országai közül, a kétoldalú áruforgalom elérte a 272, 3 millió dollárt. A magyar társelnök kiemelte, hogy a magyar EU-elnökség kiemelt szerepet szán az ASEAN országaival való együttműködésnek és támogatja az EU szabadkereskedelmi agendájának előmozdítását a térségben.
A felek egyetértettek abban, hogy a GVB hetedik ülése további lendületet adhat a magyar-indonéz gazdasági kapcsolatok fejlődésének. A magyar társelnök megelégedéssel nyugtázta a magyar vállalatok növekvő érdeklődését az indonéz piac iránt, valamint üdvözölte a magyar vállalati részvételt az országban történő nagyszabású infrastrukturális fejlesztésben, amely az indonéz autópályák e-útdíj rendszerének bevezetését irányozza elő.
A találkozó során a társelnökök megvitatták országaik jelenlegi gazdasági helyzetét, valamint az ülés jegyzőkönyvének legfontosabb témáit, kiemelt tekintettel a kereskedelem, befektetés, vízgazdálkodás, a mezőgazdaság, oktatás, technológiafejlesztés, valamint az Európai Bizottság által közvetlenül kezelt források területére. A felek üdvözölték, hogy a Stipendium Hungaricum Program (SH) keretében Magyarország – az új SH megállapodás 2023-ban történő aláírását követően – 110 ösztöndíjat ajánl fel indonéz hallgatók részére magyarországi tanulmányok folytatására. A program népszerűsége 2016-os indulása óta folyamatosan növekszik Indonéziában, a 2024/25-ös tanévre 1516 diák pályázott. A felek üdvözölték továbbá a vízgazdálkodás területén való együttműködést, amelynek sarokköve a magyar szakértelem és innováció. A mezőgazdaság és a tudományos kutatás területén a Magyar Agrár- és Élettudományi Egyetem (MATE) számos kölcsönös érdeklődésre számot tartó szakterületen kész együttműködni az indonéz partnerekkel.
A társelnökök a plenáris ülést követően aláírták a Magyar-Indonéz GVB jegyzőkönyvét, és megegyeztek, hogy a Bizottság nyolcadik ülésére Indonéziában kerül sor.
The Hungarian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation held its Seventh Session in Budapest on 24-25th July 2024
The Seventh Session of the Hungarian-Indonesian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation (JCEC) was held in Budapest on 24-25th July 2024, chaired by H.E. Ms. Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary for External Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and her Indonesian partner, H.E. Mr. Umar Hadi, Director General for American and European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Indonesia.
Next year Hungary and Indonesia will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations. Prior to this significant occasion, the Seventh Session of the Hungarian-Indonesian JCEC provided a great opportunity to strengthen our partnership.
Deputy State Secretary Katalin Bihari emphasized that, in accordance with the Eastern Opening Strategy announced by the Hungarian Government in 2014, Hungary is committed to expanding the bilateral relations with Indonesia, which is a founding member of ASEAN with a growing role both on the global stage and at the regional level. In 2023, Indonesia has become the 5th foreign trade partner of Hungary among the ASEAN countries, our bilateral trade reaching 272.3 million dollars. The Hungarian Co-Chair underlined that our commitment is also demonstrated by the fact that the Hungarian EU Presidency assigns a special role to the cooperation with the countries of the ASEAN, including Indonesia, and intends to advance the EU’s free trade agenda in the region.
Both Sides agreed that the Seventh Session of the JCEC could give new impetus to further deepen the Hungarian-Indonesian economic relations. The Hungarian Co-Chair was pleased to note the growing interest of the Hungarian companies towards the Indonesian market and welcomed the participation of a Hungarian company in the large-scale infrastructure development involving the implementation of the e-toll system for Indonesian highways.
During the plenary session, the Co-Chairs discussed the current economic situation of their countries and evaluated several areas of cooperation included in the Agreed Minutes, with special regard to trade, investment, water management, agriculture, EU direct funds, education and technology development. At the plenary session, the Co-Chairs praised the effective cooperation within the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme, following the signing of the new agreement in 2023 with 110 scholarships per year for applicants from Indonesia to complete their higher education in Hungary. The popularity of the programme has been continuously growing in Indonesia since its launch in 2016, with 1516 applicants for the 2024/25 academic year. The Sides also welcomed the cooperation in the fields of water management, in which Hungarian expertise and innovation play a significant role in different sectors. In the areas of agriculture and scientific research the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences (MATE) is ready to cooperate in several fields of mutual interest with the Indonesian partners.
At the end of the Seventh Session of the JCEC, the Co-Chairs signed the Protocol and agreed to hold the Eighth Session of the Commission in Indonesia.
