A fejlesztési programok megvalósítását a kormány már 2021-ben megkezdte, a költségeket eddig hazai forrásból előlegezte meg.  Közel 9300 darab támogatási szerződés került megkötésre mintegy 1600 milliárd forint értékben a terület- és településfejlesztési, a digitális, a közlekedés- és gazdaságfejlesztési programokban, a kifizetett támogatások összege pedig meghaladja az 1200 milliárd forintot.

A források kifizetése elől tavaly decemberben hárult el jelentős akadály, amikor az igazságszolgáltatás függetlenségének erősítését célzó vállalások teljesítését elismerte az Európai Bizottság. Ezzel elérhetővé vált mintegy 10 milliárd euró kohéziós forrás Magyarország számára.

 A ma érkezett forrásokon kívül Magyarország 2023. december 28-án kapta meg a Helyreállítási Terv (RRF) elfogadott módosításával felvett 3,9 milliárd eurós hitel előlegét, mintegy 780 millió eurót. A REPowerEU csomag részeként megérkezett összeg Magyarország energetikai megújítását és a zöld energiafelhasználás további elterjesztését támogatja.

First part of cohesion funding for 2021-2027 arrives

On 2nd January, the European Commission transferred €445 million of the previously blocked 2021-2027 cohesion fund to Hungary. This will allow for commencing the refinancing of the operational programmes for the new EU development period.

The government already started implementing the 2021-2027 development programmes in 2021, and prefinanced the costs from the national budget. Almost 9,300 grant contracts worth app. HUF 1,600 billion have been signed to support territorial and settlement development as well as digital, transport and economic development programmes. The amount of grants disbursed so far exceeds HUF 1,200 billion.

A major obstacle to the disbursement of the 2021-2027 funds was removed last December, when the European Commission recognised Hungary’s commitments to strengthening the independence of the judiciary. This has paved the way for Hungary’s accessing around €10 billion of cohesion funding.

In addition to the previously mentioned funds, on 28th December 2023 Hungary also received a €780 million advance of the €3.9 billion loan through an agreed amendment to the country’s Recovery and Resilience Plan. This amount, which arrived as part of the REPowerEU package, will support Hungary’s energy renewal and the further expansion and development of country’s green energy use.
