Mészáros Krisztián multilaterális ügyekért felelős államtitkár részvétele az EU államtitkárainak és főtitkárainak informális találkozóján Dublinban
Mészáros Krisztián multilaterális ügyekért felelős államtitkár részt vett az Európai Unió Tanácsa július elsejével kezdődő ír elnökségének külügyminisztériumi államtitkári ülésén 2026. június 9-én Dublinban.
Az ülés napirendjén az ír elnökségi prioritások, a formálódó európai biztonsági stratégia szerepeltek. Az államtitkár mind az ülésen, mind bilaterális egyeztetéseken ismertette az új kormány európai politikai megközelítését, mely szerint az Európai Unió csak az egységes fellépés révén lehet erős, ezért a magyar kormány a nemzeti érdekek határozott képviselete mellett kompromisszumra törekszik valamennyi kérdésben.
Ez igaz az ír elnökségi célokra is, melyek az értékek, biztonság és versenyképesség kiemelésével megegyeznek a magyar kormány törekvéseivel. Az ülés peremén sor került az ír politikai igazgató, Gerard Keown úrral történő egyeztetésre, ahol a felek áttekintették az ír elnökséggel való együttműködés sarokpontjait.
Krisztián Mészáros, State Secretary for Multilateral Affairs, participated in the meeting of State Secretaries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the EU Member States, organized by the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in Dublin on 9th June 2026. The agenda of the meeting included the debate on the priorities of the Irish Presidency and the discussion over the forming European Security Strategy.
The State Secretary presented the new government’s European political approach, both at the meeting and in bilateral consultations, which states that the European Union can only be strong if it is united, and therefore the Hungarian government will be steadfast in representing its national interests while seeking compromise on all issues.
This is also true of the objectives of the Irish Presidency, which, by highlighting values, security and competitiveness, are in line with the aspirations of the Hungarian government. On the sidelines of the meeting, a bilateral consultation was held with the Irish Political Director, Mr. Gerard Keown, where the parties reviewed the cornerstones of cooperation between Hungary and the incoming Irish Presidency.
