Egyeztetés országgyűlési képviselők és külügyi vezetők között

A kölcsönös bemutatkozásokat követően a Külügyminisztérium vezetői ismertették a területükkel kapcsolatos legfontosabb kormányzati prioritásokat. Mind az országgyűlési képviselők, mind a minisztérium vezetői hangsúlyozták: kiemelkedő fontosságú a kormányzat és az Országgyűlés részéről is, hogy egy hangon szóljanak a külföldi partnerek felé.

A parlamenti diplomácia fontos részét képezi az országok közötti kapcsolatoknak, az un. országgyűlési baráti csoportok számos területen tudnak segíteni hazánk nemzetközi kapcsolatainak erősítésében, a reális Magyarország-kép alakításában.

Az uniós országok esetben is szükség van a kétoldalú kapcsolatok ismételt dinamizálására, még akkor is, ha számos kérdést uniós keretekben vitatunk meg.

A képviselők és a külügyminisztérium vezetői egyetértettek abban, hogy az uniós viszonyrendszerbe visszaintegrálódó, a szövetségesi kapcsolatrendszert komolyan vevő Magyarország, a világ más régióival is komoly kapcsolatokat kíván ápolni értékeink alapján és nemzeti érdekeink figyelembevételéve.

A beszélgetésen a Magyarságpolitikai Bizottság tagjai hangsúlyozták, hogy a határon túli magyarok kérdéskörével továbbra is hangsúlyosan kell foglalkozni, és különös figyelmet kell fordítani a határátkelők fejlesztésére olyan határszakaszokon, amelyek esetében az szomszédos ország uniós csatlakozása még hosszú időt vesz igénybe. A megbeszélésen szót váltottak a kulturális diplomácia fontosságáról, az olyan újragondolandó területekről, mint a Stipendium Hungaricum ösztöndíj, valamint a Hungary Helps munkája. Elhangzott, hogy a nemzetközi fejlesztéspolitika nem csak ismertséget, elismertséget hoz hazánk számára, de új lehetőségeket is teremt akár a gazdasági kapcsolatok terén és egyértelműen szolgálja a nemzetközi biztonság ügyét.

Az egyeztetésen részt vevők kiemelték, hogy egy folyamatos szakmai párbeszéd nyitó fejezeteként tekintenek a megbeszélésre.

A Külügyminisztérium részéről az egyeztetésen részt vett Velkey György László, miniszterhelyettes, parlamenti államtitkár, Breuer Klára, bilaterális kapcsolatokért felelős államtitkár, Medveczky Iván déli kapcsolatok fejlesztéséért felelős helyettes államtitkár, Nagy Gábor Ferenc, keleti kapcsolatok fejlesztéséért felelős helyettes államtitkár, valamint Havas Krisztián, az Európai és Észak-amerikai Kapcsolatok Fejlesztéséért Felelős Helyettes Államtitkárság titkárságvezetője.

Meeting between officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and members of the TISZA Party’s parliamentary group.

Members of the National and International Relations Cabinet of the TISZA parliamentary group met in Parliament on August 6, 2026, with the state secretaries and deputy state secretaries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Following introductions, the officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs outlined the government’s key priorities in their respective areas. Both the members of Parliament and the ministry officials emphasized that it is of paramount importance for the government and Parliament to speak with one voice to foreign partners.

Parliamentary diplomacy is an important part of relations between countries; so-called parliamentary friendship groups can help strengthen Hungary’s international relations and shape a realistic image of Hungary in many areas.

Even with EU member states, there is a need to reinvigorate bilateral relations, even though many issues are discussed within the EU framework.
The members of parliament and the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs agreed that Hungary—which is reintegrating into the EU framework and takes its alliance relationships seriously—also wishes to cultivate meaningful relationships with other regions of the world based on our values and with due regard for our national interests.

During the discussion, members of the Committee on Hungarian National Policy emphasized that the issue of Hungarians living beyond the borders must continue to be a priority and that special attention must be paid to the development of border crossings in those border sections where the neighboring country’s accession to the EU will still take a long time. 

The participants also exchanged views on the importance of cultural diplomacy, areas in need of reevaluation—such as the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program—and the work of Hungary Helps. It was noted that international development policy not only brings visibility and recognition to Hungary but also creates new opportunities, including in economic relations, and clearly serves the cause of international security.

The participants emphasized that they view the meeting as the opening chapter of an ongoing professional dialogue.
