Budapesten került megrendezésre a Magyar-Macedón Gazdasági Együttműködési Kormányközi Vegyes Bizottság ötödik ülése
2025. november 13-14. között, Budapesten került sor a Magyar-Macedón Gazdasági Együttműködési Kormányközi Vegyes Bizottság ötödik ülésére, Sztáray Péter, a Külgazdasági és Külügyminisztérium biztonságpolitikáért és energiabiztonságért felelős államtitkára, valamint észak-macedón partnere, Elena Kuzmanovska, a macedón Külügyi és Külgazdasági Minisztérium államtitkára társelnökletével.
Sztáray Péter államtitkár hangsúlyozta, hogy Magyarország kiemelt figyelmet fordít a Nyugat-Balkán országaival való együttműködésre politikai, gazdasági, kulturális és oktatási téren is. Elismeréssel szólt Magyarország és Észak-Macedónia stratégia partnerségéről, melyet jól bizonyít a két ország közötti Stratégiai Együttműködési Megállapodás aláírása idén nyáron, valamint a 2024-es ohridi és a 2025-ös budapesti közös kormányülés. Hozzátette, hogy Magyarország továbbra is az egyik legelkötelezettebb és legmegbízhatóbb támogatója Észak-Macedónia EU-integrációjának.
A magyar társelnök elmondta, hogy a kétoldalú kereskedelmi forgalmunk meghétszereződött, a magyar export pedig négyszeresére növekedett az elmúlt 14 év alatt. Fő célunk ezt a növekedési tendenciát a jövőben is fenntartani. Megelégedéssel nyugtázta, hogy a magyar vállalatok érdeklődése Észak-Macedónia iránt láthatóan megerősödött az elmúlt években, valamint az üzleti delegáció látogatások száma is jelentősen nőtt. A felek reményüket fejezték ki, hogy a fővárosaink közötti közvetlen repülőjárat 2026. tavaszi újraindítása hozzájárul kétoldalú gazdasági és turisztikai kapcsolataink további fejlődéséhez.
A plenáris ülés keretében a társelnökök egyeztettek a GVB 5. szakértői ülésén beazonosított együttműködési területekről, különös tekintettel az üzletfejlesztés, a mezőgazdaság, az energetika, az EU-integráció, valamint az oktatás, kultúra és a turizmus területére. Üdvözölték a két ország közötti kiegyensúlyozott mezőgazdasági kapcsolatokat; Sztáray Péter államtitkár kiemelte, hogy Magyarország kész szakmai támogatást nyújtani a macedón félnek azokban az agrárágazatokban, melyekben a magyar fél jelentős tapasztalattal és szakértelemmel rendelkezik. A társelnökök megelégedéssel nyugtázták az oktatás területén kiemelkedő szerepet játszó Stipendium Hungaricum program, valamint a vendégoktatói hálózat keretén belül 1989 óta oktató magyar lektor sikeres működését Észak-Macedóniában. Egytértettek abban, hogy elengedhetetlen a további együttműködési lehetőségek kiaknázása a vízgazdálkodás, a tudomány és technológia, valamint a védelmi ipar területén.
A plenáris ülést követően a társelnökök aláírták a Bizottság jegyzőkönyvét, valamint az üléshez kapcsolódóan sor került a Magyarország Kulturális és Innovációs Minisztériuma és az Észak-macedón Köztársaság Kulturális Minisztériuma között a kultúra és művészet területén a 2026–2030-as évekre szóló Együttműködési Program aláírására.

The Hungarian-Macedonian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation held its Fifth Session in Budapest
The Fifth Session of the Hungarian-Macedonian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation (JEC) was held in Budapest on 13-14 November 2025, co-chaired by Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, and his Macedonian partner Elena Kuzmanovska, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia.
State Secretary Péter Sztáray underlined that Hungary pays special attention to cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans in the political, economic, cultural and educational spheres. The Hungarian Co-Chair commended the strategic partnership between Hungary and North Macedonia, as evidenced notably by the signing of the intergovernmental Agreement on Strategic Cooperation this summer , and the two joint government sessions held in Ohrid in 2024 and in Budapest in 2025. Mr. Péter Sztáray emphasized that Hungary continues to be one of the most committed and reliable supporters of North Macedonia's EU integration.
The Hungarian Co-Chair pointed out that bilateral trade has increased sevenfold, while the Hungarian exports have quadrupled over the past 14 years; our main objective is to maintain this growing tendency in the future. Mr. Péter Sztáray noted with satisfaction that Hungarian companies' interest in North Macedonia has visibly strengthened in 2024, and the number of the visits of business delegations has increased significantly. The Sides expressed their hope that the resumption of direct flights between Budapest and Skopje in the spring of 2026 will contribute to the further development of our bilateral economic and tourism relations.
During the meeting, the Co-Chairs evaluated the areas of cooperation identified during the experts’ meeting of the 5th JEC, with special regard to business development, agriculture, energy, EU accession process of the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as education, culture and tourism. The Co-Chairs welcomed the balanced agricultural relations between the two countries; State Secretary Sztáray emphasized that Hungary is ready to provide professional support to North Macedonia in those agricultural sectors where Hungary possesses significant experience and expertise. The Co-Chairs recognised the successful operation of the Stipendium Hungaricum program, which plays a prominent role in the field of education, and the Hungarian lecturer who has been teaching in North Macedonia since 1989 within the framework of the guest lecturer network. The Sides agreed that it is essential to explore further opportunities for cooperation in the fields of water management, science and technology, and the defense industry.
Following the plenary session, the Protocol of the 5th Session of the Hungarian-Macedonian JEC and the Cooperation Program in the Field of Culture and Art between the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of North Macedonia was signed.
