Koszorúzás a brazíliai Mindszenty Cserkészparkban
Breuer Klára kétoldalú kapcsolatokért felelős államtitkár Johnny Maycon polgármesterrel 2026. október 15-én megkoszorúzta az 1956-os magyar forradalom fiatal hőseinek emlékére emelt, nemrégiben helyreállított 1956-os domborművet a brazíliai Nova Friburgoban.
Nova Friburgo különleges helyszín a brazil-magyar diaszpóra számára, mert a kezdetektől fogva jelen lévő magyar közösség hivatalosan is elismert és megbecsült részét képezi a város alapító és építő kolóniáinak. Államtitkár asszony ellátogatott a Nova Friburgo melletti Mury községben található, a brazíliai magyar cserkészmozgalom egykori ikonikus helyszínére, a Mindszenty Cserkészparkba, ahol megkoszorúzta Zinner László szobrászművész az ’56-os magyar fiatalok emlékére alkotott domborművét. E hely évtizedeken át a brazíliai magyar cserkészélet és ifjúsági hagyományőrzés egyik legfontosabb, központi bázisaként szolgált.

Commemoration at the Mindszenty Scout Park in Brazil
State Secretary for Bilateral Relations Klára Breuer joined Mayor Johnny Maycon in laying a wreath on Oct. 15, 2026, at the recently restored 1956 relief monument in Nova Friburgo, Brazil, erected in memory of the young heroes of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
Nova Friburgo is a special place for the Brazilian-Hungarian diaspora, as the Hungarian community—present since the very beginning—is an officially recognized and respected part of the city’s founding and building colonies.
The State Secretary visited the Mindszenty Scout Park, a former iconic site of the Hungarian Scout movement in Brazil, located in the village of Mury near Nova Friburgo, where she laid a wreath at the relief created by sculptor László Zinner in memory of the Hungarian youth of ’56.
For decades, the location served as one of the most important and central hubs for Hungarian scouting and the preservation of youth traditions in Brazil.
