Asgabatban került megrendezésre a Magyar–Türkmén Gazdasági Együttműködési Kormányközi Bizottság 6. ülése

Türkmenisztán fontos partner Magyarország számára a közép-ázsiai régióban; gazdasági potenciálja, különösen az energetikai és agrárszektorban, kivételes lehetőségeket kínál kétoldalú együttműködésünk további erősítésére. Ennek egyik fontos eszköze a 2014 óta működő Kormányközi Bizottság, amely rendszeres fórumként szolgál kapcsolataink áttekintésére és új irányok kijelölésére politikai és szakmai szinten egyaránt.

A Bizottság 6. ülése alkalmával a társelnökök tájékoztatást adtak országaik gazdasági helyzetéről, majd áttekintették a Jegyzőkönyvbe foglalt főbb együttműködési területeket: kereskedelem, energetika, közlekedés, mezőgazdaság, vízgazdálkodás, egészségügy, munkaügy, oktatás, kultúra, tudomány, sport.

Kereskedelmi kapcsolatainkat illetően kiemelendő, hogy hazánk kivitele 2024-ben megközelítette a 7,5 millió dollárt, amely 2023-hoz képest 17%-os növekedést mutat, míg 2025. első hét hónapjában kivitelünk értéke több mint 3 millió dollár volt. A társelnökök üdvözölték, hogy kereskedelemi és iparkamaráink immáron a Türk Államok Szervezetének (TÁSZ) gazdasági ernyőintézménye, a Türk Kereskedelmi és Iparkamarák Szövetségének (TCCI) keretei között is együttműködnek. A Szövetség 2025. június 16-án, Budapesten tartott közgyűlésén teljes jogú tagként fogadta soraiba a Magyar Kereskedelmi és Iparkamarát.

Magyar részről hangsúlyoztuk, hogy világ 4. legnagyobb földgázvagyonával rendelkező Türkmenisztán potenciális forrásországként szerepet játszhat Európa, így Magyarország energiaellátásának diverzifikációjában, erősítve energiabiztonságunkat. A Magyarország és Türkmenisztán közötti együttműködés ígéretes aspektusaként jelölték meg továbbá a mezőgazdaságot, azon belül is a fenntartható erdőgazdálkodást – hazánk kész megosztani az e területen szerzett több évtizedes szakmai tapasztalatait hozzájárulva Türkmenisztán nagyszabású erdősítési és zöldítési kezdeményezéseihez.

Az oktatási együttműködés hozzájárul ahhoz, hogy a jövő szakemberei közvetlen tapasztalatot szerezzenek egymás kultúrájáról és gazdasági környezetéről; ennek jegyében Magyarország a Stipendium Hungaricum ösztöndíjprogram keretében évente 20 türkmén diáknak biztosít lehetőséget arra, hogy Magyarországon folytassa felsőoktatási tanulmányait.

A Bizottság 6. ülésének zárásaként a társelnökök aláírták a jövőbeli együttműködés fejlesztési területeit meghatározó Jegyzőkönyvet.

The Intergovernmental Hungarian–Turkmen Commission on Economic Cooperation held its 6^th Session in Ashgabat

The 6^th Session of the Intergovernmental Hungarian–Turkmen Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Ashgabat on 29–30 September 2025, co-chaired by Mr Ádám Stifter Deputy State Secretary for Development of Eastern Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and H.E. Mr Mammetguly Astanagulov, Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan is an important partner for Hungary in the Central Asian region; its economic potential, particularly in the energy and agricultural sectors, offers exceptional opportunities for further strengthening our bilateral cooperation. The Intergovernmental Commission, which has been operating since 2014, is an important element of our collaboration, which serves as a regular forum for political dialogue and expert level consultations aiming to reviewing our relations and setting new directions.

At the 6^th Session of the Commission, the Co-chairs exchanged information on the economic situation of the countries and provided an overview on the main areas of cooperation set out in the Protocol, such as trade, energy, transport, agriculture, water management, health, labour, education, culture, science, and sports.

With regard to our trade relations, Hungary's exports in 2024 approached USD 7.5 million, representing a 17% increase compared to 2023, while in the first seven months of 2025, our exports were worth more than USD 3 million. The Co-chairs welcomed that our chambers of commerce and industry widened its cooperation also within the framework of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), the economic umbrella organization of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). At the meeting of the General Assembly held in Budapest on June 16, 2025, the Union accepted the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a full member.

On the Hungarian Side, we emphasized that Turkmenistan, with the world's 4^th largest natural gas reserves, could play an important role as a potential source country in diversifying Europe's energy supply, thereby strengthening our energy security. Agriculture, particularly the sustainable forestry, was also identified as a promising area for deepening our cooperation.

Hungary is ready to share its many decades of professional experience in this field, contributing to Turkmenistan's large-scale afforestation and green initiatives. Educational cooperation allows future professionals to gain first-hand experience of each other's cultures and economic environments. For supporting this initiative, Hungary offers the opportunity for twenty Turkmen students to pursue higher education in Hungary each year through the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme.

At the end of the 6^th Session of the Commission, the Co-chairs signed the Protocol defining areas for cooperation for the upcoming years.
